I am looking into spending a week in Haiwii probably in may.

Can some of you who are in the know give me some advise on the best island to visit and the best hotel?

I was thinking of Maui, but I hear that it has gone so commercial and many of the hotels are getting old and run down, but still charge huge prices.

Over all, looking for an island that has both lots to see but also is relaxing. I don’t mind spending big money on a hotel, but it has to be nice. I don’t want “motel 6″ at resort price. I want the resort, no matter what the price.

Any and all advice would be helpful.

We’re moving from southern Maryland to Tacoma, Washington. My wife and our two month old daughter are already there, and our two year old son will be driving out there about mid-spring. I’m trying to figure out if it would be better to hire a moving company, or to rent a U-Haul trailer. I want to take trip from Washington state to Queen Charlotte Island. Understand if I want to go by BC Ferry I need to go from Vancouver to Victoria, then to the north end of the Island to catch a ferry to Prince Rupert. Does anyone know where the ferry terminal is and are there any hotels/b&bs nearby. When does the ferry depart? Any nearby restaurants?
