How to properly throw a hotel party?
Hotel RatesDean asked:
We’re all seniors and my best friend and i are planning to throw a party at hotel on new years eve. We’re inviting +30 people and just wondering if we can all fit in one room. There will be alcohol involved and were all gonna get smashed. How big are the biggest rooms in Hilton? And what are the chances of us getting caught?

Lol i’ve been partying at the Hilton for 3 years in a row, I do their event which costs over $300 is non stop alchohol blah blah cause its 21 and up. If you just stay in the room and arnt too loud you won get caught but that is most l,ikely not going to happen! People get loud and drunk on new years its inevigtable. Cant you just have it at someones house? Yea theres big rooms but they are expensive and if you f*ck up the rooms you will big in BIG trouble…the rooms should fit you but still be pretty crowded just be careful lol!

I am a manager at a hotel on the island (Port Aransas Texas) and we have Executive Suites that are big plus we have a meeting room that holds up to 100 people. these kind of rooms are expensive and we have people book for parties all the time. We have had some underagers We do have to have an adult check them in unless they are 18 yrs old , as far as drinking goes as long as you don’t get out of control there isn’t a reason for the police to be called. A lot of hotels know that people are underage and drinking but overlook it as long as you stay in your room and don’t trash the place. Spring break here was kick a**

It is possible to get away with it since you paid for the room and the staff doesnt have the time or duty to supervise your party, its a private function. It’ll be hard to even find a hotel that is willing to rent a room to you though since your under 21, you may need an older adult to sign the room contract. Some hotels have strict policies with alcohol, some even require you to purchase alcohol from them and dont allow outside alcohol in which case your pretty much screwed.
If you sneak in your own alcohol your pretty much blatantly breaking the contract you signed and obviously going against the law, very risky! if your guests get too roudy and cause a disturbance, the management will come straight to you or whoever is in charge of the party. They can kick your guests out and charge you like crazy for breaching contract and any damages caused to the room, they can also call the police if it gets bad enough. If the police get involved then obviously you will have a major problem with underage drinking.
