Hotel PricesGermany or Bust!!! asked:
Does anybody know of a good cheap hotel that’s in walking distance of some good nightclubs/bars? No fleabag motels, but a good price. Thanks!

There is one hotel that I stayed at with a bunch of friends at the beginning of March that was called the “Thrift lodge.” Its ok, very nice for the price, $100 a night I think…but if you get like 5 people to room with its only about 20 a nite. Its within downtown range and you can take a taxi there for about 5 dollars and there are tons of night clubs! Hope I helped! Also recommend the Tjuana Yacht club.

One hotel is the Canad Inns Polo Park - its medium priced- close to the mall and has its own night club which is popular. If you are flying in it is not far from the airport either.
This is a great site for finding one for cost
Walking distance to a few night spots would be the ones downtown- just have to keep yourelf safe at night but not to bad of an area- there is lots of night clubs and some hotels in the exchange district downtown ( on this website it mentions a few- but they are not recomended other then the fairmont, I listed it as a reference to the night clubs)
Good luck

All of the CanadInns in Winnipeg that someone mentioned have nightclubs and taverns in them (usually 2). They are all pretty popular places but they each have specific nights that are the busy nights and if you miss that night they could be dead. Downtown in the Exchange district there are a couple trendy bars that are almost always busy(Whisky Dix, Alive) but the hotels downtown are pricier. You could check out the Radisson, the Fairmont, the Delta, Inn at the Forks, or the Fort Garry for some pricier options. A couple cheaper hotels downtown are the Best Western Charterhouse, Holiday Inn, the Hampton Inn and Suites and the Thriftlodge.
For a good place, bar located on premises and pool with waterslides I would stay at one of the CanadInns. Check out the link below.
