1. Walking distence from downtown Hollywood and where
everything is.
2. Price - $60 or under.
3. Close to great food places that are cheap.
I don’t know if this would help.
We plan on going on july 16-18

Such a place just doesn’t exist; If you want to stay close to the attractions in Hollywood, it’s going to be much more than $60. If you want “close to the attractions” and “cheap”, the two terms are mutually exclusive. It’s all about supply and demand: EVERYONE wants to be close to the Walk of Fame. Higher demand creates higher prices. Most places will charge around double that… be prepared to spend about $120 per night for even the cheap places.
Similarly, “great food places that are cheap” is also an oxymoron, unless you consider Burger King to be great. In N Out Burgers are great, which might be one option.
I always recommend the Holiday Inn Walk of Fame for budget-minded individuals. It’s a decent place (no bedbugs), and close to where you want to be.
Check out Tripadvisor before booking a hotel. The reviews there pretty much tell the story.
