And so since he can’t charge it on his card cause he might exceed his limit, i was going to put it on mine. I am on my mom’s account but i have my own card. I’m planning a cross country roadtrip and when trying to estimate my hotel cost, I need to know when is the earliest I can check into a hotel before they charge me for the previous night?

Ex. If I check in at 4am and stay one night, will I be charged for 1 night or 2?
If I check in at noon, same question. If I check in at 11:30pm, will they charge me for that night?

I have many years of being a regular hotel front desk clerk, but I recently just got hired to be a LIVE-IN desk clerk where I live at the hotel…which is very different to me. How exactly does it work when the hotel does not have a 3rd shift? Do people call down to the room and u have to jump out of bed, etc? How do you know if people are at the desk or something? Has anybody ever done this before? This hotel is a 69 room facility and pretty big. Anybody have any past experience and/or knowledge they can share in this field?
